Meet the Founder
Maple Strings was founded by Renée Anne Poulin, PhD, a violinist, musicologist, and chamber musician based in the Kansas City area.
Renée brings a rare combination of performance experience, musical scholarship, and practical event awareness to her work. She has performed in orchestras, chamber ensembles, churches, community settings, and special events, with a background that spans classical performance, historical music, language, and the cultural meaning of musical texts.
She founded Maple Strings for hosts who want live music to feel intentional, not incidental. Every event is approached with careful planning, clear communication, and attention to how music supports the setting, timing, and tone of the gathering.
